Desperadoes gets new home in PoS

Desperadoes Steel Orchestra can now be settled in its new home in downtown Port of Spain.

The $14M dollar facility opened officially on Monday April 16th following a ceremony attended by several hundred people including the Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Randall Mitchell and the Member of Parliament for Port-of-Spain South Keith Scotland.

It was recently completed by State agency, the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT).

Depseradoes home before the major move was located at Picton Road Laventille, however due to security and safety reasons the steelband relocated to Tragarete Road.

The pan theatre includes the panyard, a car park and the main commercial building outfitted with classrooms.
