Cops find bandits in roof of Church’s Chicken, Arouca

Two men, ages 29 and 30, were caught hiding in the roof of a Church’s Chicken restaurant in Arouca on Monday.

The manager of Church’s Chicken’s Arouca branch told police that they locked up the restaurant and left for the evening on Monday night.

However, around 5:25am, officers received a report of a break-in at the restaurant and went to the scene.

When officers of the Arouca CID and the North-Central Division Task Force arrive, they did not find any of the doors or windows tampered with.

Police eventually got into the restaurant and found a hole in the roof of the building and the bandits hiding inside.

The men, one from Santa Cruz and the other from San Juan, were arrested.
Police also found two backpacks containing a quantity of cash from a safe and tools used to break into the fast food establishment.
