About thirty-nine thousand students have been vaccinated against Covid-19 ahead of the October 4th reopening of schools in Trinidad and Tobago for forms four, five and six.
Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, made the disclosure while speaking at a news briefing held at the Diplomatic Center, St Ann’s Thursday afternoon.
Dr Rowley said in spite of some resistance in getting students vaccinated the government is staying with its original position.
Dr Rowley said for students who are not fully vaccinated, they will not be allowed to participate on the school compound, but alternative arrangements will be made for them to take part in schooling virtually.
