Chairman says persons should report illegal dumping in the Princes Town area

The Chairman of the Princes Town Regional Corporation is asking the members of the public to work in partnership with the Princes Town Regional Corporation to eliminate illegal dumping within the Princes Town Region.

The Chairman notes that recently, there has been an increase in the number of reported cases of illegal dumping and the Chairman is urging members of the public to be vigilant and report these cases to the Regional Corporation.

Litter and dumped trash pose a threat to the environment as well as to those who are given the task to clean it up.

In an attempt to alleviate this stressful situation, the Chairman is urging individuals and businesses to properly dispose of their waste and to desist from dumping it illegally throughout the region.

He also indicated that the Princes Town Regional Corporation‘s Health Department, together with the Litter Wardens, will investigate all reported cases and will work swiftly to ensure that those responsible for illegal dumping are brought to justice.

The Chairman is encouraging members of the public to be good citizens by obeying the laws of the country and to report any cases of illegal dumping so that the Corporation can deal with those cases immediately.
