Blackman ends CYG swim campaign with another gold

It was another gold for local swimmer Nikoli Blackman, as he ended his Commonwealth Youth Games (CYG) run in fine style on Wednesday evening.

The Trinidad and Tobago swim star captured the 50 metres freestyle gold at the National Aquatics Centre, late yesterday, clocking a time of 22.36 seconds.

In the same race, Zarek Wilson of TT touched the wall third in a personal best 22.95.
Wilson bagged a complete set at CYG2023—gold, silver, bronze.

The silver went to Bahamian Marvin Johnson in 22.54.

Blackman’s clocking is a new national 15-17 record.

Blackman was unbeaten at the Games, grabbing 50 free, 100 free and 200 free gold.
