Lifeguards feel undervalued and ignored by the Ministry of National Security.
Patrol Captain at Maracas Bay, Carl Hernandez, lamented this while speaking with Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show.
He made the comment as he bemoaned the lack of equipment and personnel required to properly patrol the beaches in Trinidad.
He added that there are not enough lifeguards to service all the beaches in the country.
