A 28-year-old Arima man, identified as Amillo Ramjohn, died at sea on Sunday, after he fell off some sea stacks during a fishing trip.
Ramjohn, of Ifill Lane on Pinto Road, was standing on the rocks at sea at Master Bay Beach, Trois Roche, while fishing with his brother-in-law, when at around 4.45 pm, he slipped into sea, got into difficulty and disappeared underwater.
His body resurfaced 15 minutes later, and with the assistance of villagers, was recovered from the water and taken to the shore.
Paramedics tried to revive Ramjohn but attempts were not successful.
Toco police are investigating.
