Few can ever say they met the Prime Minister, and even those who meet him do so as an adult.
But a six-year-old farmer from Tobago got the opportunity to meet Dr. Keith Rowley who toured a few Tobago farms on Thursday.
Jhyalen Edwards who attends Whim Anglican Primary School said in an interview with TV6 last week he was encouraged to become a farmer after listening to a press conference by the Prime Minister.
Edwards said, “The Prime Minister said ‘Plant what you eat and eat what you plant’. So that is why I need to start planting.”
Dr. Rowley has also posted photos of himself on his Tobago farm occasionally, and on Thursday he met one citizen who heeded his advice.
Take a look at the video below.
He also took the Prime Minister and THA’s Chief Secretary Ancil Dennis on a tour of his small garden.
