Film Director Michael Bay, who is best known for his work on the “Transformers” franchise is making headlines after being hit with charges in Italy.
Bay was accused of killing a pigeon.
According to The Wrap, the 57-year-old was filming his movie, “6 Underground,” back in 2018, when a pigeon was allegedly killed during production.
Authorities claim that the pigeon died shortly after being struck by a dolly while filming a scene out in Rome.
One of the crew members who’d been working on the motion picture secretly decided to take a photo of the incident and reported it to law enforcement officials.
Given that pigeons and birds are protected under the Birds Directive law in the EU, it is therefore a crime to hurt or kill them.
