Over four hundred and fifty-two children under the age of five have been vaccinated against influenza in Trinidad and Tobago.
Three hundred and eighty-three pregnant women have been vaccinated for the condition.
Twenty-nine thousand, nine hundred and sixty –two flu vaccines have been administered to date.
This compared to last season’s flu drive which saw twenty-six thousand persons inoculated.
Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, indicated the information of the sub populations during a news briefing held at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s on Thursday.
Minister Deyalsingh said every year there is a struggle to get pregnant women vaccinated and the Ministry continues to work with them through the antenatal clinics.
However, Mr Deyalsingh said only eight hundred and sixty-seven health care workers have been vaccinated against influenza.
