A man is warded in a serious but stable condition at hospital, after he was chopped during an altercation with a relative on Saturday night.
Reports are that the 39-year-old victim was at his home along Williams Street, Arouca, around 9pm when he was confronted by an older relative.
During the fight, the relative allegedly grabbed a cutlass and chopped the 39-year-old severely to the left shoulder.
The victim raised an alarm and was taken to the Arima Hospital where he was treated.
