A 34-year-old Valencia man was kidnapped and beaten by men wearing police tactical wear on Friday night.
Around 8:05pm, officers of the Eastern Division received a report of a suspected kidnapping on Quarry Road, Valencia and responded.
They were told that the man was bundled into a white SUV by attackers in police uniforms.
However, while conducting enquiries, the police received a phone call hours later that the man was released around 10.30 pm and was at his Gill Street home.
Officers visited the home and spoke with the man who had injuries to his wrists and face.
Police are investigating.
