Farley’s THA budget branded a “fairytale” and “figment of imagination”

Former THA official Denise Tsoi-a-fatt-Angus is expressing her concern over the leaked audio recordings which in which THA Chief Secretary, Farley Augustine is allegedly heard discussing using THA funds to hire persons to spread party propaganda.

Tsoi-a-fatt-Angus served as presiding officer of the Tobago House of Assembly for the tenth session 2017 to 2021 under the PNM.

Speaking on Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show, she claimed that Augustine has not brought the change which he promised the people of Tobago.

She also criticized the Chief Secretary’s budget presentation on Moday.

Dr Tsoi-a-fatt-Angus claimed that the budget was a fairytale and a figment of the ruling THA administration’s imagination as no THA administration has ever received near to 7 percent of the National budget.

She suggested that Mr Augustine instead examine ways to ensure Tobago can diversify its income and contribute more to the local economy

Debate on the budget began yesterday in the THA.
