A 40-year woman was reportedly gunned down this morning, by suspects who entered her Barataria home searching for her son.
The incident took place at 9th Avenue North, Barataria.
Unconfirmed reports state that the woman, identified only Pamela Joseph, was shot multiple times as she hid under her bed from the armed suspects who were searching for her son.
She died at the scene.
Reports state that her daughter was also injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital for treatment.
