Service disruption to customers served by Freeport Water Treatment Plant

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Central Trinidad, served by the Freeport Water Treatment Plant, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their water supply that this is due to mechanical problems at Well #15, resulting in reduced production at the facility.

Emergency repair works currently ongoing are expected to be completed by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday 19th April, 2023.

AFFECTED AREAS RESTORATION OF SUPPLY
Calcutta, Chickland, Mayo, Tortuga, Central Park, Lower Couva, Pepper Village, La Vega, Mayo Road, Siewdass Road, Preysal, Brasso
Wednesday 19th April 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

A limited truck borne service will be available upon request. This can be requested through the following self-service options:

Use of the mobile WASA Services App which can be downloaded for Android mobile customers from the Play Store or iPhone mobile customers from the Apple store.
Use of the Customer Portal available on the Authority’s website: www.wasa.gov.tt.

Alternatively, customers requiring direct assistance or further information can contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/26.
