“Yuh can’t just get a vaps to be screened” so says the Prime Minister

Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley today dismissed claims that Fuad Abu-Bakr was scheduled to be screened today by the People’s National Movement for the upcoming General Elections.

Speaking at the Office of the Prime Minister during the Post Cabinet media briefing, Dr. Rowley said while he saw the headlines, he was concerned as the political party has a constitution and guidelines with which no one can falter.

He said persons interested in being screened must send consent by a party group before the designated deadline.

When asked how the elections will unfold given current restrictions around COVID-19, Dr. Rowley said he sees no need to have a special meeting with the Elections and Boundaries Commission at this present time to change the current voting regulations.
