Youth Ministry Partners With LSA And PSAEL For The Youth Agricultural Homestead Programme

The Ministry of Youth Development and National Service today, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Palo Seco Agricultural Enterprises Limited , the Land Settlement Agency for the Implementation of the
Youth Agricultural Homestead Programme at the Kendall Dairy Farm.

The Signing Ceremony took place at the Ministry’s Head Office in Port of Spain.

The Memorandum of Understanding outlined an agreement for the use of the land at the Kendall Dairy Farm for the first phase of the Youth Agricultural Homestead Programme.

Additionally, the PSAEL will work collaboratively with the LSA and the MYDNS to facilitate the implementation of the YAHP.

The Youth Agricultural Homestead Programme is a two-year programme for youth between 18 and 35 years, who will benefit from one year of agricultural training at the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

At the end of the first year, successful participants will be provided with access to land and a starter home, as well as the necessary technical and financial support to propel them to become successful 21st century agribusiness entrepreneurs.

The Ministry of Youth Development and National Service remains committed to bringing all stakeholders together to promote youth development and encourages civic-minded citizens to contribute to national service across Trinidad and Tobago.
