Yet another woman brutally murdered at the hands of a relative

Yet another woman has been brutally murdered,at the hands of an estranged relative, this time in Guapo, South Trinidad. Also killed in the attack a pensioner and her son who had taken in the woman when she was thrown out of her home.

Seycelles Hannah, a 41-year-old mother was taken in to her home by the kindness of 69 year old pensioner Ceslyn Farrell and her son 48 year old Patrick Farrell, since November last year. Hannah and her belongings were thrown out by a male relative. Her clothing and personal effects dropped off at the Dominion City Church at Point Fortin Main Road.

Police found a bloodstained machete and garden hoe in the rubble of the burnt out house . Police believe the man who murdered the three at a house at Guapo on Thursday before setting it ablaze with gasoline, may have used the machette and hoe to execute the three.

The investigating officers continue to find gruesome clues to solve the triple murder/arson which rocked the community of Guapo. They believe the man came through the open back door and carried out the attacks. They found droplets of blood in a trail leading about 100 feet away from the house. There were bloodstains spatters on the walls of the living room and on the washing machine suggesting he dealt them several fatal blows before setting the house ablaze. Hannah’s limbs were dismembered.

This latest tragic murder brings to 9 the number of women murdered so far this year, most of them at the hands of estranged relatives.
