Political Leader of Patriotic Front Mickela Panday says she is thankful that her father, Basdeo Panday, is still alive and that he supports her.
The senior Panday is this country’s former Prime Minister and former Political Leader of the United National Congress (UNC). The younger Panday left the party after disagreeing with some of its policies during its five-year run as part of the coalition-formed Government, the People’s Partnership. The younger Panday then formed her own party, Patriotic Front, which was launched in May of this year.
But, if you want to know if her father would vote for her in the upcoming general elections next year, you would have to ask him.
