Work is taking place to clear a landslide along the Western Main Road, Carnage, following bad weather Monday afternoon.
The situation has resulted in traffic gridlock.
Confirmation of this came from Chairman of the Diego Martin Regional Corporation, Sigler Jack, during a News Power Now interview.
Chairman Jack said the residents of the area, along with equipment from the Ministry of Works and Transport are helping clear the road way in a bid to have regular traffic flow restored.
Mr Jack said work is also taking place to restore power to the area.
