The directions came from Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Joan Honore-Paul on Thursday 27th May, 2021.
Homicide Bureau officers will conduct further investigations into this matter.
According to reports, around 2 pm on Friday 21st May 2021, Ryan Singh, 21, was in company with his cousin, Sandra Singh-Bahadoor and her husband Lutchman Bahadoor, in a shed at their home at Bucket Corner, Naparima Mayaro Road, Rio Claro when they were approached by a woman, her common-law husband, and two men believed to be nationals of Venezuela.
The three men were armed with cutlasses.
An argument ensued which turned into a scuffle between one Venezuelan and another man.

The four continued the attack, the men with the cutlasses, and the woman with a boulder.
They then left him bleeding.
The four persons then escaped.
