Wife and children of deceased diver Yusuf Henry celebrated his birthday by his graveside

The wife and children of Yusuf Henry visited his grave to celebrate his 33rd birthday.

Yusuf co-worker Fyzal Kurban also celebrated a birthday earlier in the month.

Both men were divers employed by Land and Marine Construction Services Ltd (LMCS) who were contracted by Paria to work on a pipeline.

Yusuf Henry along with Fyzal Kurban, Kazim Ali Jr., Rishi Nagessar was be sucked into the 30 inch pipline due to a delta P event which only Christopher Boodram would have survived.

Now that the commmision of enquiry into the incident has ended, friends and family of the divers are looking forward to the findings of the enquiry.

Lawyers and counsel members of the enquiry submitted motions to be put forward such as compensations for the diver’s families, criminal prosecutions be brought towards certain high ranking officials at Paria and that outside experts have a say in safety procedures in future jobs to just name a few.

Chairman Jerome Lynch, KC said the report and findings will be done very soon and given to the government.
