What law allows police to enter private premises? Attorney Larry Lalla wants PM to specify

The Prime Minister has a duty to explain what law allows police authorities to enter the private premises of persons in relations to the Covid regulations.

This is according to Legal counsel Larry Lalla, who was commenting on statements made yesterday by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

Dr Rowley said during the Covid Update yesterday, he has been advised police officers can take action to treat with private spaces as it pertains to the compliance with the COVID-19 health regulations.

Dr Rowley stated that members of the TTPS would now be able to gain entry into private residences if they felt that Covid 19 rules were being flouted.

He says nothing has changed since last year with reference to the law.
