West Indies Women Lose Second Straight ICC T20 World Cup Match

West Indies women cricketers lost their second straight match in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup playing against India today.

Playing in Cape Town, South Africa the regional women lost to India by six wickets.

Batting first after winning the toss West Indies made 118 for 6 off the allotted twenty overs.

Deepti Sharma who took three wickets for 15 runs from four overs was voted Player of the Match.

Stafanie Taylor top scored with 42 runs off 40 balls.

Her inning included six fours.

In reply India reached 119 for 4 off 18.1 overs.

Richa Ghosh top scored with 44 not out.

The defeat leaves the Caribbean side in fourth spot of the five teams in Group Two.

West Indies were defeated in their opening match against England by seven wickets.

Their next match is against Ireland on February 17th.

Australia tops group one after winning their first two games and are on four points.

England on the other hand tops group two with four points also.
