West Indies will now focus on the three match T20 international series against South Africa after losing the second test match against the visitors by 40 runs at Providence in Guyana on day three of the five day match on Saturday.
Set 263 to win the Caribbean side were all out for 222 with spinner Gudakesh Motie top scoring with 45 runs, Rabada and Maharaj both had three wickets each for South Africa who secured 1-0 series in the two match series.
When South Africa batted a second time they made 246 all out with Markram hiting 51 runs and fast bowler Jayden Seales from Trinidad and Tobago taking 6 wickets for 61 runs, in addition to the three he had in the first innings.
