The victory gave the West Indies a 1-0 lead in the five match series.
Defending 149 runs, the regional cricketers showed determination in their bowling and fielding to restrict the visitors for 145 for 9 from 20 overs.
Tilak Varma top scored for India with 39 runs with only one other batsman, Yadav scoring over 20 runs.
Earlier, Captain Rovman Powell made 48 runs and Nicolas Pooran 41 to guide the Caribbean side close to the 149 for 6 from 20 overs.
