Weed and camo clothing found in St Ann’s; search on for two suspects

2.83 kilograms of marijuana and camouflage clothing were seized in St Ann’s on Thursday night.

Members of the Belmont Operations Unit were on patrol at around 8.45 pm when they received a tip-off about drugs being hidden in Fondes Amandes Road, St Ann’s.

On arrival to the scene, officers attempted to arrest two men who they suspect had the drugs, but the men ran into the forest and escaped.

Police searched and found a plastic bag containing camouflage pants and T-shirt and four packages of marijuana.

The exercise was co-ordinated by ASP Walker and led by Insp Rajkumar with field operations by Sgt Parris
