Chief Medical Officer Dr. Roshan Parasram revealed that 7 persons who were recently repatriated from the batch of 67, who recently returned from New York, tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
He made the announcement at a Ministry of Health press conference on Monday.
He then provided information on the correct way to wear masks, adding that the virus is easily spread through the nasal passage.
He then reminded the public of the ‘new normal’ which includes mask-wearing, staying at home if ill, and standing six feet apart from persons to prevent the spread of the virus.
