Water service disruption in PoS

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in Port-of-Spain and environs served by the El Socorro Booster Station who are experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply, that this is due to mechanical problems at the facility.

Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 8:00 p.m. on Sunday 28th March, 2021.
Areas affected include:

Port-of-Spain, Morvant, Westmoorings, Cocorite, St. James, Woodbrook, Cascade, St. Anns, Belmont, Laventille, Gonzales and East Dry River.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these repair works.

Customers in Powder Magazine, Cocorite are also advised that their pipe-borne water supply will continue to be affected by ongoing repairs to a leaking 16-inch diameter transmission pipeline along the Diego Martin Highway, Cocorite. These repairs are scheduled to be completed by 8:00 p.m. on Monday 29th March, 2021.
