Days after his State funeral on January 9th, the ashes of former prime minister Basdeo Panday have been scattered into the sea.
Panday was cremated at the Shore of Peace, following a state funeral at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts.
They were scattered this morning by his daughter, Mickela Panday, who shared a touching video of the process on her social media pages.
She said: “We have scattered our dearest father’s ashes into the sea. It was a peaceful moment filled with treasured memories of the past and hope for the future.”
