WATCH: Lawyer Hilariously Can’t Turn Off Cat Filter During Zoom Court Hearing: ‘I’m not a cat’

At IzzSo, we’ve been hearing about a lot of hilarious Zoom mishaps in recent times and the latest one happened in a virtual court hearing in America.

Watch below:

Lawyer Rod Pronton arrived to court via Zoom in the 349th district of Texas using his assistant’s computer, before quickly realising he had a kitten filter turned on.

Mr Pronton then tried to remove the filter but with not much luck.

Hon. Judge Roy B. Ferguson said during the court hearing: “Mr. Ponton I believe you have a filter turned on in your video settings.”

Mr Ponton replied: “Can you hear me judge?”

Judge Ferguson responded: “I can hear you. I think it’s a filter.”

“It is,” the kitten-filtered Mr Pronton said, “and I don’t know how to remove it.

“I’ve got my assistant here and she’s trying to remove it but uh…I’m prepared to go forward with it. I’m here live. I’m not a cat.”

Sharing footage of the incident afterwards, Judge Ferguson took to Twitter to make sure we all learn from this hilarious mistake: “If a child used your computer, before you join a virtual hearing check the ‘Zoom video options’ to be sure filters are off.”

He added: “These fun moments are a byproduct of the legal profession’s dedication to ensuring that the justice system continues to function in these tough times.

“Everyone involved handled it with dignity, and the filtered lawyer showed incredible grace. True professionalism all around!”
