The Ministry of Education and the T&T Police Service are currently conducting investigations into an incident at the Tranquillity Secondary School, where a male student was held with a cutlass.
A video circulating on social media showed MTS security personnel struggling to take the weapon from the male student, while schoolchildren in the background could be heard laughing.
A parent was reported to have been on the school’s compound with a weapon, which prompted police intervention.
