WASA says Morvant residents should get water by Sunday

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) said that customers in parts of Morvant, served by the Lady Young Road Booster Station, who are currently experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply is due to mechanical problems at the facility.

Extensive repair works currently ongoing is expected to be completed by 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Affected areas include:

  • Never Dirty
  • Mon Repos
  • Chinapoo
  • Coconut Drive
  • Red Hill
  • Second Caledonia
  • Marie Road
  • Las Alturas
  • Calvary Hill
  • Pelican Extension
  • Ramdial Development
  • Comprehensive Drive

Customers are advised to manage their stored water use during this period, as it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, following completion of repairs.

The Authority said that a limited truck borne water supply will be available upon request.
