The residents of Wallerfield, Cumuto have been advised to secure their pets and livestock today.
The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) said it would be destroying explosives from 10:00a.m to noon at the Cumuto Barracks. The exercise has been approved by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and ExxonMobil Corp/Senna Drilling. The exercise will be done using high explosive charges which will sound similar to fireworks displays.
The TTDF has apologised for any inconvenience caused; they are reminding the public that the explosions are controlled and will be carried out using all safety precautions.
