A man is dead following an early-morning shooting in Wallerfield.
The victim has been identified as Wendell George of Antigua Road, Wallerfield.
Reports are that around 6:30am, George was washing the yard of his home when he was confronted by two men.
However, he was shot by the men while he attempted to run into the house.
The police were notified by residents, and on arrival, the accompanying district medical officer declared George dead.
Several spent shells were found at the scene.
Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II officers are continuing enquiries.
