Vybz Kartel engaged to a Turkish social worker

Jamaican Dancehall artiste, Vybz Kartel who is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of an associate is now engaged.

The once reinging King of Dancehall whose real name is Adidja Azim Palmer is engaged to Turkish social worker Sidem Ozturk.

The deejay’s long-time common-law wife, Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson, who is also the mother of three of his seven children, popped up on Instagram last evening seemingly unbothered by the news as Ozturk opened up about her relationship with Kartel in a Fox5 New York interview.

Ozturk told journalist Lisa Evers that she and Kartel, got engaged in the summer of 2022 during an authorized prison visit.



Back in 2011 Vybz Kartel was charged with murder.

A police statement issued in Kingston on Monday said that the 35-year-old artist was charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm.

Investigators accuse the artiste, of conspiring with others to kill a 27-year-old promoter who was murdered earlier this year.
