Veteran lifeguard dies while on duty

A lifeguard with over 20 years’ service died on Vessigny beach in La Brea on Wednesday.

Jonathan Kowlessar reportedly fell ill and died while on duty. He was well-liked by members of staff and was reported to have contributed a lot to his community. He had complained of feeling ill on Wednesday afternoon before his death.
