The night the entire world waited on.
Jamaica’s finest set fire to Instagram during the Verzuz battle which was created by US music producers, Swizz Beats and Timbaland.
Beenie Man and Bounty Killer battled neck to neck with each other, playing their ‘90’s and 2000’s hottest tracks.
With over 475K streaming live on VerzuzTv Instagram page, the Dancehall veterans went head to head, tune for tune with collaborations from Hip Hop greats like Wyclef Jean, Swizz Beats, T.I, Gorilla Blacks, R/B singers, Lauryn Hill, Mya and Dancehall queens such as Tanya Stephens, Lady Saw and the king himself Buju Banton.
Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Andrew Holness even joined in the friendly clash online with this tweet.

However the night was put on pause for 2 mins when police officers crashed the event – as there were too much people crowding the space within the building and not wearing masks – breaking some of the country’s COVID-19 health regulations.
Beenie Man swiftly asked the police not crash the live and give them time to finish the virtual event.
“You’re not going to do this now, don’t be that guy,” Beenie Man scolded the officer as they were being threatened to stop the live due to the COVID-19 health guidelines.
Jamaica is currently under a curfew which begins at 8 p.m.
However they were eventually allowed to start the music back up and Beenie Man told his online audience that nothing can stop the show and called Bounty Killer back in.
Fire to the virtual party eventually went into overdrive as they began to freestyle neck to neck – ‘War Lord vs Gaylis’, as they’ve been dubbed.
Trini Twitter and West Indians all over the globe were excited and delighted to see the once rivals come together to create virtual history.
With some calling but for a battle between Machel Montano babes Bunji Garlin.
Trinidad and Tobago’s chance at the Verzuz battle is on the horizon as Swizz Beats teased it in the making while chatting with Teddy Riley live on Instagram.
