Verification Exercise Required Before Government Agrees to Return of Nationals Currently in Syria.

National Security Minister, Stuart Young, says a verification exercise will have to be done before a determination can be made on whether government can facilitate the return, to Trinidad and Tobago, of several women and children currently being detained at the Al-Hol refugee Camp in Syria.

Minister Young gave the response in the Senate on Tuesday afternoon after being question on the issue by Opposition Senator, Wade Mark.
