Venezuelan migrants will risk the rough seas than stay in their home country

A Venezuelan woman says the hardship being experienced in her country is contributing to heightened levels of desperation from citizens.

Recently the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard said it received information from Venezuelan authorities eleven bodies had been recovered from the waters close to the Venezuelan coastal town of Guiria.

The Coast Guard says its Rescue Coordination Center has since dispatched assets as part of a joint search effort with Venezuelan authorities.

Speaking through an interpreter the Venezuelan woman gave insight on the matter.
