Former Trade minister, Vasant Bharath, is chiding the Finance Minister for the lack of social empathy displayed in this year’s budget.
Mr Bharath accused Minister Imbert of “missing the point” as he explained that the country is fighting with the rest of the world for human resources.
Speaking about the budget presentation, Mr Bharath noted that there is little to encourage current and future generations to stay in the country.
He said a budget must be based on more than simply balancing the books.
Mr Bharath accused the Finance Minister of not caring.
