Vaccine Hesitancy Hotline Now Available In TT

Citizens now have access to a Vaccine Hesitancy Hotline in Trinidad and Tobago.

The number to call is 607-8922.

It officially went into operation on October 15th 2021 from 4 to 7pm.

However, the hours have been extended from 1pm to 7pm Monday to Friday.

The hotline hours of operation will be increased in the coming days.

The hotline will give the population the opportunity to speak one-on-one with a physician and have their particular concern addressed.

The project has the support of the Trinidad and Tobago Non-Communicable Disease Alliance and the Pan American Health Organization.

A media release Tuesday said the Vaccine Hesitancy Hotline is staffed by volunteer hotline operators and physicians and allows callers to have their concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine addressed by these doctors.

The Social Media Campaign involves posting of educational materials, addressing commonly asked questions about COVID-19 and the vaccine.

An emphasis is also placed on the impact of COVID-19 on Persons living with Non-Communicable Diseases.
