There is a high level of hesitancy to be inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines among members of the Christian community locally.
This revelation is coming from Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh.
Speaking during the Ministry of Health virtual news briefing held on Wednesday, Minister Deyalsingh said he heard a Christian Pastor on a radio station discouraging people to take the vaccine.
Minister Deyalsingh made it clear it has nothing to do with the radio station in question or the media as there is freedom of speech.
However, Mr Deyalsingh said from discussions with individuals and surveys done the majority of people who seem to be vaccine hesitant are of the Christian faith.
