UWI St Augustine to receive AstraZeneca vaccines for staff and students

The University of the West Indies (UWI) St Augustine Campus is embarking on an exercise to vaccinate all staff and students.

According to an advisory issued by the University and shared online by the Guild of Students, Deputy Principal Professor Indar Ramnarine has engaged the Health Ministry for the provision of AstraZeneca vaccines.

The release states that the Campus has received a commitment and allocation of vaccines, though a number was not given.

UWI is reportedly preparing for the vaccination exercise by seeking expressions of interest in getting the jab.

As such, the Guild is urging students to check their emails regarding a survey that is currently being done in this regard.
