UWI Seismic Centre Records Two Earthquakes Three Hours Apart

2.6 and 2.7 earthquakes are recorded by the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre Thursday.

The Centre said at 2:57am the first tremor took place.

It had a depth of 3.0 kilometers.

At 5:07am the second quake happened.

This one had a depth of 18km.

The Centre said the location was estimated to be 12 km South East of Port of Spain, 20 km South West of Arima, and 35 km North of San Fernando.

Media reports say the quakes were felt by residents of Central Trinidad.
