UTT Tamana Campus shut down

Employees based at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, Tamana campus have been told to work from home temporarily, after a staff member tested positive for COVID19.

In a release on Sunday, the UTT said out of an abundance of caution and for the welfare of all employees and stakeholders, the entire facility will be closed for the week of April 12 to April 16.

During this period the entire facility will be thoroughly sanitised in keeping with the Ministry of Health guidelines.

Employees based at UTT Tamana have been advised to self-monitor for any signs of COVID and if there are any suspicion of development of the symptoms of the virus to immediately contact the Ministry of Health for further guidance.

This is the second reported COVID case at UTT Tamana.

Last Thursday, the EBI facility was initially closed for sanitising after a case was identified there. EBI staff were asked to stay away for 24 hours and the facility was scheduled to reopen on Friday April 9.
