US Embassy POS extends Visa fee validity until December 31, 2021

The U.S. Embassy Port of Spain has announced that the validity of the visa application processing fee, also known as the MRV fee payment, has been extended until December 31, 2021.

MRV fees are normally valid for only one year.

With this extension, it means applicants who have been unable to schedule a visa appointment as a result of the suspension of routine consular operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be able to schedule and/or attend a visa appointment until December 31, 2021, using your already-paid fee.

We continue to process visas that qualify for interview waivers, and are working diligently to restore routine visa operations as quickly and safely as possible while still complying with host government guidelines. Please continue to monitor the U.S. Embassy website and social media outlets for information on when the embassy will return to routine visa operations.
