US Agency For International Regional Representative Visits Trinidad And Tobago.

United States Agency for International Development Regional Representative Clinton White will visit Trinidad and Tobago from September 16-23 to meet with government officials, leaders in the business community, and members of civil society organizations.

The Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy in Port of Spain says  Mr. White’s meetings will underscore the American people, through USAID, are partnering with the people of the Caribbean to move forward their education, health, economic development, and prosperity aspirations.

In a media release the US Embassy said Mr White will also highlight USAID’s regional development strategy – developed to guide USAID’s programs –which will provide critical assistance to the region.

The strategy’s focus is to support a safe, prosperous, and resilient Caribbean region that assists its vulnerable populations, withstands external shocks, and promotes accountable institutions, economic development, and private sector-led growth.
