The body discovered floating in La Brea on Friday has been identified as 16-year-old Iverson Thomas, the teen who went missing at Flower Pot Beach in Pointe-a-Pierre on Tuesday.
Around 1:45pm, coast guard officers found the body and took it to the Labidco Port.
Thomas was positively identified by his fingerprints.
His body was taken to the morgue where an autopsy would be performed.
On Tuesday, Thomas and 19-year old Lesedi Lewis went to Flower Pot Beach around 9:00a.m. While there, Thomas got into difficulties and disappeared under the water.
Police and coast guard officials were called in but they could not locate the body.
His body resurfaced on Friday.
