UNC taking the Government to task over the state of the economy

The United National Congress is once again taking the Government to task over the state of the economy.

During the UNC’s Virtual Report on Monday the Opposition Leader Kamla Persad – Bissessar described the Government’s economic policy as one based on taxation and borrowing.

She called on the Government to show a proper plan for restoring the economy.

She also expressed concern with rising unemployment, saying she lacked confidence that any real proactive measures would be implemented in the upcoming budget.
